About Us – Swackie Ltd
Swackie Ltd was founded by Jim Whitelaw in December 2020. After a long career in industries connected to the sea and later in oil and gas, Jim considered retirement. But retirement didn’t suit him. Instead, he decided to take on a new challenge — and Swackie Ltd was born.
Starting with just one van delivering parcels, the company has now grown into a fleet of eight modern long wheelbase vehicles, proudly serving major delivery companies across North-east Scotland.
Growth and Expansion
With vehicles covering thousands of miles six days a week, maintenance quickly became a top priority. What began as outsourced servicing evolved into an in-house solution when Swackie hired its own mechanic to ensure every van received the care it needed.
In 2025, the business expanded again with the creation of Swackie Autos Ltd, focusing on sourcing and selling used vehicles. This natural step allowed us to offer quality cars and vans at fair prices while also developing our own workshop and sales office.
Our Workshop
Our workshop can handle a wide range of vehicles, including long wheelbase panel vans. We currently focus on smaller jobs such as brakes, tyres, and routine servicing, with very reasonable rates for individuals and small businesses. While major repairs remain reserved for our own fleet at this stage, we are steadily building towards offering a more comprehensive service.
